The Sette Fratelli Park is one of the largest parks of the island. Seen from above, this beautifully naturalistic area, follows the contours of three imposing hills that rise to nearly a thousand meters in height : these are the Monte Genis (1016 m) , the massive Serpeddì ( 1067 m) and the mountain range Sette Fratelli (the Ceraxa peak is 1016 m).
Nearly sixty thousand acres of forest and maquis divided between the territories of Burcher, Castiadas, Maracalagonis, Quartucciu, Quartu Sant'Elena, San Vito, Sinnai, Villasalto and Villasimius. Walking over the granite rock, through river valleys and deep canyons shaded by oaks, cork oaks, juniper and oleander, you can meet some of the historic inhabitants of this region: the typical Sardinian deer, mouflon and wild cats, martens, peregrine falcons and golden eagles, to name just a few.
Getting here is easy: just take the SS125 towards Muravera until you reach the S'Arcu and Tidu pass. Due to its rich landscape, the Park is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating places in south-east Sardinia, as well as a must-see for nature lovers and for hiking and biking. Along the routes you will find, refreshment areas, information points and toilets.
